This policy explains what information we collect when you use game.arcbound.co.uk, download the Arcbound beta, and interact with the wiki/changelog/admin tooling.

1) Who we are

Arcbound (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the Arcbound website and distributes beta builds of the game.

2) What we collect

Account information

  • Email address
  • Password (stored as a secure hash — never in plain text)
  • Profile fields you optionally provide (e.g. player name)

Usage & analytics

  • Pages viewed and interaction events
  • Device/browser/OS details
  • Approximate region (derived from IP)
  • Performance and error/crash signals (where enabled)

We don’t sell your data. We only collect what we need to operate and improve Arcbound.

3) Analytics providers

Google Analytics (GA)

Used to understand website traffic and behaviour (e.g. which pages are most visited).

PostHog

Used for product analytics and feature telemetry to improve systems, balance, and UX (where enabled).

4) Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication and analytics. You can control cookies via your browser settings.

If/when we add a cookie consent banner, we’ll use your preferences to control non-essential analytics.

5) Downloads and server logs

When you download builds from this site, our servers may log basic request information (such as IP address and user-agent) to prevent abuse, diagnose errors, and measure download health.

6) Where data is stored

  • Database storage (e.g. MongoDB Atlas) for account/site data
  • Hosting infrastructure (Vultr) for website and file delivery
  • Analytics providers listed above

7) Retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described above (and as required by law). Beta development may also require resets or pruning of data over time.

8) Your rights (UK GDPR)

Depending on your circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data. You can also object to certain processing.

9) Children

Arcbound isn’t directed at children under 13 and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children.
